This policy explains how Tool Market Australia collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit www.toolmarket.com.au, shop with us, visit our showroom or contact us.

Who we are

Tool Market Australia is a trading name of Black Top Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 74 103 894 300), 195 Champion Road, Williamstown North VIC 3016. Black Top Consulting also trades as Troya Living. Because both are the same company, your information may be held in systems used by both businesses. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Black Top Consulting Pty Ltd.

Information we collect

We collect the information you give us when you place an order, ask for a quote, open a trade account or contact us. This may include:

• your name, email address and phone number
• your billing and delivery addresses
• your order details and purchase history
• your business name and ABN, if you're a trade or distributor customer
• what you tell us about enquiries, quotes, deliveries, returns or warranty claims, including any photos you send
• reviews and feedback you choose to share with us

We don't see or store your full card details. Payments are processed by our payment providers, such as Shopify Payments, PayPal and Afterpay, under their own privacy and security practices.

When you use our website, we also collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you use the site and the website that referred you.

You can browse our website without telling us who you are, but we need your details to process an order or answer an enquiry.

Cookies and website tools

We use cookies, tags and pixels to run our website (for example, to keep items in your cart), understand how visitors use it, and measure and show our advertising. The tools on our website include Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel, Microsoft Clarity and Klaviyo. Microsoft Clarity records how visitors move around our pages, such as clicks and scrolling, so we can improve the site.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, such as the cart and checkout, may not work without them. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out tool.

We may send you emails or messages about our products and offers if you've signed up or bought from us. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email marketing@toolmarket.com.au to opt out. Opting out of marketing doesn't stop emails about your orders or enquiries.

We may also show you our ads on platforms such as Google, Facebook and Instagram, based on your visits to our website. You can manage personalised ads in each platform's privacy settings.

Who we share your information with

We share only the information needed with service providers who help us run our business, including:

• our online store platform, Shopify (see Shopify's Privacy Policy)
• payment providers, such as Shopify Payments, PayPal and Afterpay
• delivery partners, such as Australia Post and our freight carriers
• the business systems we use to manage customers, orders and stock
• analytics and advertising providers, such as Google, Meta and Microsoft
• our email marketing provider, Klaviyo

We don't sell your personal information. We may also disclose information where the law requires or allows it.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia. Shopify, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Klaviyo and PayPal may hold your information in the United States, Canada and other countries where they or their providers operate. We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.

How we store and protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, change or disclosure.

We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy and to meet our legal obligations. For example, we keep tax records for at least five years. When we no longer need information, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or de-identify it.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to delete it; we'll do so unless we need to keep it for legal or record-keeping reasons.
