Tool Market Australia is a trading name of Black Top Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 74 103 894 300). This page explains how warranty claims work for products bought from us.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The benefits to the consumer given by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the consumer under a law in relation to the goods or services to which the warranty relates.

Warranty period

The warranty period for each product is shown on its product page, in the description or the Warranty section. If a product page doesn't list one, a standard 12-month manufacturer's warranty applies. Please also check your product and its packaging for any extended or registered warranty offers.

How to make a warranty claim

Contact Tool Market first, even if the warranty is provided by the manufacturer, such as Makita. We'll check the problem with you and arrange the next step.

Please include:

  • your order number or proof of purchase
  • a description of the problem
  • photos or a video showing the problem

Delivery costs

Once we've confirmed your claim is covered, we'll pay the delivery costs to return, repair or replace the item. Please don't send an item back until we've told you how to return it.

Damaged or missing parts on delivery

If your order arrives damaged or with missing parts, please tell us within 14 days of delivery so we can lodge a claim with the courier quickly. This doesn't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Corten steel

Corten steel is designed to develop a natural rust patina over time. Rusting, colour changes and variations in the patina are expected and aren't product faults.
