Corten Steel Atrium Square Planter

Description

The MAC Landscape Corten Steel Atrium Square Planter is a low, bottomless square frame finished with a wide 150 mm flat top rim. Set it straight onto soil or lawn to frame a feature tree, a shrub or a cluster of plants, or use several together to give a courtyard, lawn or garden bed a clean, architectural layout.

With an open base and a height of 150 mm, plant roots grow straight down into the ground below, so it suits trees and established plantings as well as new garden beds. The wide rim gives the planter a solid, finished look from every angle and frames the planting inside it.

Available in three sizes, 1 m, 1.5 m and 2 m square. Custom sizes can be made to order.


Installation

The Atrium Square Planter arrives flat-packed and is quick to put together. Simply bolt the four sides together at the corners. All the bolts are included, and a spanner is all you need. An extra pair of hands makes it even easier.

Then set it on level ground and fill it with soil and plants.


About Corten Steel

Corten steel is a weathering steel known for its excellent corrosion resistance. When exposed to the weather, its surface forms a protective oxide layer that keeps regenerating over the years, giving the steel its warm, earthy rust colour.

  • Corten steel develops a natural rust patina over time outdoors. How fast it forms, and its final colour, depend on the weather.
  • While the patina forms, rusty water can run off and stain nearby surfaces, such as paving, concrete, render and timber. Keep this in mind when you choose where to place it.
  • Remove all packaging and any protective film when your order arrives.
  • Make sure water can drain freely from your planter.
  • Weights are approximate and can vary by about 5 kg.
