Product Info

Corten Steel Felix Screen

Description:

The Felix Screen is a sculptural corten steel garden screen that brings softness and quiet storytelling into outdoor spaces. Designed as both a decorative feature and a subtle divider, it introduces warmth, movement, and a sense of calm through its gentle imagery.

Crafted from weathering steel, the screen naturally develops a rich patina over time, allowing the artwork to blend harmoniously with garden landscapes. The balanced composition makes it suitable as a standalone feature, a privacy screen, or a visual anchor in courtyards, gardens, and outdoor living areas. Felix is not loud or imposing – it invites pause, observation, and a moment of stillness.

Size and Installation:

The screen is 1210 mm wide and 2400 mm high, cut from 1.5 mm Corten steel, and stands on two steel feet. The legs, connecting rods and all fixings are included, and the feet can be anchored to hard ground with the expansion screws supplied.

Design Inspiration:

Felix is inspired by a small cat and its yarn ball, a quiet moment that feels playful on the surface yet deeply symbolic beneath.

The cat represents the spirit of the forest – curious, watchful, and deeply connected to its surroundings. Its form is shaped by branching lines, echoing tree roots and veins, suggesting that the cat is not separate from nature, but born from it. The forest lives within the cat, just as the cat moves gently through the forest.

The yarn ball above reflects cycles, connection, and continuity. Like tangled roots or winding paths, it symbolises the invisible threads that tie living things together – time, memory, and growth. The cat gazes upward, not in pursuit, but in quiet awareness, reminding us that curiosity does not always need action.

Together, the composition speaks of balance between playfulness and wisdom, softness and strength. Felix is a gentle guardian of space, encouraging calm presence and a deeper connection with nature.

More about Product

  • Corten steel develops a natural rust patina over time outdoors. How fast it forms, and its final colour, depend on the weather.
  • While the patina forms, rusty water can run off and stain nearby surfaces, such as paving, concrete, render and timber. Keep this in mind when you choose where to place it.
  • Remove all packaging and any protective film when your order arrives.
  • Weights are approximate and can vary by about 5 kg.

Patina and colour changes are normal and aren't a fault. See our Returns & Refunds page.
